It is my birthday today what a beautiful place to have a birthday. We had a very varied day today. After breakfast our first stop was the laundromat otherwise no one would be speaking to us. We met a lovely couple from Chicago at the laundromat so we talked for a couple of hours they had just been in Paris and were heading off to Brussels tomorrow. They told us to be careful of the Roma and if we got bailed up by anyone just forcefully say no in German so we have that down pat now. To be hoped we can do our German well enough. We then headed out into beautiful Brugge had some lunch and then had a carriage ride through the town , our horse her name was “Tilly” very lovely she was too as was her owner, gorgeous fellow gave us lots of info etc and some places to have a look at etc. After that I ironed and packed as we are off to Paris tomorrow, all trains booked etc. We should arrive there at 4.30.
