Venice 27 May

Sabine is still having problems with her ankle but her bandage is doing a good job, so we set off again shortly after breakfast and headed towards St Marks Square but we went a different route this time, a bit less touristly and commercialised and came across a few more public plazas.  However when we got to St Mark's Square it was even busier than yesterday so we continued on with our museum tour we started yesterday, but there is so much to take in it does your mind.  After our museum visit we slowly wended our way back to our hotel, stopping for a bite to eat and sitting in one of the plazas to eat it. By the time we got home we were both tired so it was time for a nana nap again, after which we again went for a gentle amble and had an ice cream each.  Tomorrow we head to Salzburg but we first have to go by bus from Venice to Villach, just over the border into Austria, then catch a train to Salzburg.  Luckily the bus station is very close to our hotel, we only have to cross one canal to get there.
