Paris 13 May

Hello to everyone.  Busy day today.  We had brekky and set off just after 9.00.  Caught the train from Brugge to Kortrijk then anor train on to Lille.  We had a wait there as we were not booked on our train to Paris until 3.00 not to worry we had quite a few things to do anyway what with activating our Eurail passes etc, the first two trains were great only us for a while the Paris train was pretty much packed but you do have to have that booked which we had of course. Arrived here at about 4.30 caught a taxi to where we are staying our taxi driver was a funny man very Danny Di Vito had about 15 arguments with other drivers in the first half a kilometre, we are staying in an apartment in Vincennes the cabbie made it sound like the countryside.  We have been out got a few supplies had dinner at an Indian place now having a bit of a relax in preparation for the next few days of sightseeing.  We have something nice and spacious to come back to I have even bought a bunch of peonies to put in the vase, very pretty. Anyway I will sign off and talk soon.

  1. Make sure you do a tour of the sewers in Paris! It's only €4.50 and any municipal engineer would love it. Enter at a little ticket box on the south side of the river, just to the east of Pont de l'Alma.

Happy birthday for yesterday! We have had a ridiculous amount of rain and the entire landscape is squelchy like a wet sponge. When it dries out I'll mow the grass...
