Saturday 2nd July, 2011 - Bowness on Windermere

Hello to all
Reasonable start today. We went down to the lake beautiful walk had brunch at a lovely place called 'Chicory' only new, I said to the lass on the way out you need to come down in the middle of the night and knock down that old boat shed because it is ruining your view, she laughed and said it is all earmarked to come down, that is why we have put in those bifold doors, so I was very happy about that, otherwise I would have helped her knock it down myself. We then headed home I had a hair colour appt in Windermere at 1.30 and Sam had an appt at the laundromat which is next door to the hairdresser, Jade who did my hair was a really gorgeous girl only 18, we had talked about how beautiful the weather was and she said you know I have lived here all my life and the weather has never been so good, after lots of laughter I was done and Sam was as well, everything beautifully folded so we wandered home and I got all ironed and organised and packed for the next leg of the journey. We went out to an Indian place for dinner and then wandered home, the walking to and from everything was the best part, you could actually enjoy a glass or two of whatever without worrying about driving home.
We both thought the Lake District is the most beautiful place and if anyone ever wanted to run away that would be the place to go. All the best Sam & Sabine
