Friday 24 June Galway to Armagh

Hello everyone, Our email problem seems to have been resolved (cross fingers) and we can now send as well as receive.
Set off early as it is a reasonably full day trip from Galway to Armagh but the road was good and we made good time. Pulled up in a little town called Clones for some lunch just before crossing the border back into Northern Ireland, it is funny but some little towns are full of life and activity and it is impossible to get a park, other are obviously in decline, which is what Clones appeared to be. There seems to be no obvious reason for the differences. We also stopped in another nearby town called Monaghan which had a massive cathedral called St Macarten which we had a look at, it was built in the 1800's but is very impressive. We arrived in Armagh a bit too early to get into our B&B so we had a look around and surprise surprise we found another massive cathedral called St Patrick's (of course) which we also had a look at. We also looked at an old ruined church from the 1200's. Once we booked into our B&B we went off to find a meal but there did not seem to be much open so we settled for a pizza.
